When controls cause problems
Is it the boiler, or is it the controls?
Some of the most common "boiler faults" I'm called out to turn out to be control faults. A thermostat out of range, a receiver with a flat battery, a programmer that's lost its schedule — any of these can stop your heating working even when the boiler itself is perfectly fine.
If your heating times are wrong, rooms are heating unevenly, or you've got a new system you can't get to grips with — call me. I'll check the controls as part of the diagnosis before recommending anything else.
