How I work
Diagnose first, recommend second
I'm George. I've been working on gas boilers and heating systems for more than 25 years — mostly in Kent, where I ran Thames Boilers. I moved to North Devon and set up South Molton Boilers to do the same kind of work locally: the same servicing and repair work, close to home, for homeowners and landlords who want an engineer they can trust.
I'm Gas Safe registered, G3 qualified for unvented hot water cylinders, and carry £2 million public liability insurance. Any part I supply and fit is guaranteed for one year.
My approach is simple: find out what's actually wrong before recommending anything, explain what I've found and what your options are, and tell you if repair isn't the right answer. I don't do installations, so I've no reason to push you towards a replacement you don't need.
I speak plainly
I'll explain what I found, what it means, and what the options are — without using jargon to make the job sound more complicated than it is.
I don't install new boilers
My work is servicing, repairs, unvented cylinders and heating controls on existing systems. If yours needs replacing, I'll point you to an installer — I don't do that side myself, so it's never a sales pitch.
